In 2011, SCDD was established to introduce the world to the flavors of seaweed, which has been one of Korea`s most popular side dishes. In this endeavor, it has promoted seaweed snack and export businesses to produce tasty and nutritious seaweed that can captivate and capture the tastes of people from all over the world. In 2021, the company established a seaweed snack manufacturing factory in Bangkok, Thailand. It has exerted its continuous efforts to develop the company with confidence through Korean seaweed and has achieved export results of USD 10 million (2016) after 6 years from its establishment. Currently (as of 2019), SCDD exports its products to the United States, Russia, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries.

SCDD has obtained HACCP, FSSC22000, and ISO22000 certification and strictly manages the quality of products to ensure food safety. The company has also extended its business into American and Halal food markets by obtaining USDA ORGANIC and HALAL certifications. In addition, it has started to export various seaweed products, including sea mustard and kelp, leading to its journey of becoming a global small giant. All SCDD employees in Korea and Thailand devote themselves to all their work, keeping in mind the motto of "confidence, principle, and creation."

As it moves toward a new era, SCDD has been developing various seaweed products to introduce them to the world and find a new food market. Through this effort, SCDD will become a company that is committed to its work and puts customers first.
